What are the computer system requirements necessary to use CEAuthority?
To view the CEAuthority website or our courses you will need the following system requirements:
Windows 98, NT, ME, 2000 or XP
Other current generation browsers should work without issue but are not officially supported at this time.
What is my password?
Click on the link beneath the login information for forgot password. Depending on the information contained in your user profile, you will be prompted with one of the following:
If you subscribed to CEAuthority using a security question, you will be prompted to answer your security question followed by an email with a randomly generated password. Upon re-entry into CEAuthority, you will be prompted to change your password.
If you subscribed to CEAuthority using a password hint, you will receive an email containing your password hint and you can then proceed to login. When you re-login, you will be promoted to set up your security questions.

How many credits do I need to take?
The number of credits required to maintain your license varies from state-to-state and is contingent on the license(s) that you hold. For information on your license requirements, please contact the state(s) in which you hold active licenses.
Why do I have to provide my social security number?
Many states require that the social security number be included when the roster (report of CE credits earned) is submitted. This information is never shared with anyone other than the state department of insurance and then only when required.
How can I add new or update my existing license information?
You can edit or add license information by following these steps:
Home -> My Account -> Licensing Information -> Edit
How can I add my professional designation license to my account?
You can edit or add professional designation information by following these steps:

I have a coupon for a free continuing education course. How do I use this coupon?
Coupons are redeemable for a free course through the RegEd Virtual University. Coupons are not valid or redeemable for the CEAuthority subscription service.
When I click on "Take Exam", nothing seems to happen. How can I access my exam?
This is generally an issue with the pop-up blocker setting on your computer. A pop-up is a new screen or window that appears when you click on a link. A pop-up blocker is what blocks the new screen or pop-up from opening. The pop-up blocker needs to be turned off in order to access the exam.
For Internet Explorer, click on "Tools" which is located at the top of your internet screen and then place your mouse on "Pop-up Blocker." If "Turn Off Pop-up Blocker" appears, click on "Turn Off Pop-up Blocker" in order to proceed. If you are using anything other than Internet Explorer, you will need to contact your help desk for further instructions to turn off your pop-up blocker.
Can I log out of a course or exam before I am finished?
Once you have ordered a course, you can work through the course study material and exam at your convenience. If you leave the course material or exam, you are able to log back in at any time and return to the page or question where you left off.
NOTE: If you use our online affidavit application and you do not complete the course and/or affidavit within 24 hours of starting the exam, the exam results will be erased.
What happens if I log out before I am finished and instead of being taken to where I left off, it looks like I never started the course or exam?
Different computers offer varying settings and information is sometimes "cached" preventing the system from showing the most recent information. To correct this issue, follow these steps:
Close all browser windows, including those that are not associated with the RegEd site.
Open one new browser window, click on Tools at the top of the browser and select Internet Options.
In the box that appears, under General Settings, click on the Settings button beneath Temporary Internet Files.
Under "Check for newer versions of stored pages," make sure the option for "Every visit to the page" is marked.
Click OK in both boxes, and then log back into the website.
Why do I keep receiving a message that says I have been idle too long, even though I have logged out and then logged back in?

How long does it take to complete the courses?
The amount of time it takes to complete a course or exam will vary depending upon each course and each individual taking the course.
How can I see what courses I have already taken?
To view your completed courses go to Home -> My Courses -> Course History. A list of all of your completed courses will be displayed on this screen.
When will my certificate be available?
Please allow up to two weeks to process your certificate. If you ordered CE credit with your course, you will receive an email notification that will include a link to view and print your certificate once your certificate has been processed.
You can also view and/or print your Certificate of Insurance by following these steps:
Home -> My Courses -> Course History -> Select your completed course -> Print Record/E-Cert
NOTE: Florida, Georgia, Nebraska and Texas require that we mail your certificate to the address you provide during the ordering process and therefore an electronic certificate will not be available for these states.
How do I get a copy of my certificate of Insurance CE credit for a completed course?
If you ordered CE credit with your course, you will receive an email notification that will include a link to view and print your certificate once your certificate has been processed.

Who qualifies as a proctor?
Generally, a proctor must be a disinterested third party (a person who has no financial interest in the success of the person taking the course or exam - relatives, supervisors, employees, etc.).
Several states have specific guidelines as to who may qualify as a proctor. This information can be obtained by clicking here and selecting the desired state from the drop-down menu. From there, you will be able to view the state's proctor requirements.
After I submit my affidavit, how long will it take before my CE Certificate is available?
Please allow two weeks for processing after you have submitted your affidavit.
Can I receive CE credit after I have enrolled in or completed a course?
Depending upon your state rules, you may be able to receive credit for courses that you have already ordered, or even completed. You will be required to complete a Request for Certificate of Completion and provide an affidavit, if required by your state.
NOTE: you will not be able to receive credit for a course if you completed the course before it was approved by a state or professional designation board.
Why is my CE not showing up with the state department of insurance or professional designation board?
RegEd sends a roster of all CE course completions to the state departments of insurance when such reporting is the responsibility of the vendor rather than the agent. Please allow two to four weeks for processing by both the CEAuthority staff and the Department of Insurance for the state in which you are licensed.
How do I print course material after I have completed the course?
You can access the study guide after you have completed a course by following these steps:
Home -> My Courses -> Course History -> Select course -> View Study Guide
Note: there are some instances in which a printable study guide is not available. Those courses are identified by the letters eLI in the course identification code.
Does RegEd sell my contact information or use it for any purpose other than the CEAuthority service?
RegEd understands the value of your privacy and will not sell or otherwise provide your information to any outside company. RegEd may use your email address to provide you with updates and information on CEAuthority and other services provided solely by RegEd.
I have a CEAuthority account with RegEd but my personal information (name, address, telephone number, social security number, date of birth) are incorrect. How can I edit this information?
